What is
Yor High Speed?
Yor High Speed is a low cost software solution created to
increase Web access over low-speed (less than 200 kbps) connections. (DSL and
cable modems provide high-speed through telephone or cable lines)
How does it work?
Yor High Speed compresses text and graphics to reduce size in order to speed loading time
of the web pages. Then it caches and retains the web pages and page elements that were previously
sent to your PC. Lastly Yor High Speed technology optimizes the communication between your modem
and network of servers through a persistent connection.
How fast is it?
Yor High Speed is up to five times faster than regular dial-up
speeds. In a comparison testing of the top web pages the average page download
speed using a phone line connected at 56K was 4.41. Seconds. Using a 325kbs DSL
connection without High Speed it was 4.48 seconds.
^
What does it speed up?
It speeds up all text, HTML markup and JavaScript, most
graphics and photos including jpeg and gif images and most flash images and
animation, most banner ads, all browser-based emails, web-based email
attachments such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. (Future versions will
support and even increase speeds of games and music downloads, secure pages,
such as those used for online banking and credit card forms, and
executable program. Currently these versions are not supported.)
How does it compare to DSL or cable?
DSL and cable are broadband technologies, which means they provide faster
service than the enhanced dial-up service Yor High Speed brings you. However,
Yor High Speed service is considerably less expensive than DSL or cable,
and is available wherever dial-up access is available.
How much does it cost?
Yor Internet service with High Speed is only $14.90
monthly, or $215.40 (if pre-paid annually)
Can I use it when I travel?
Yes, dial up is everywhere. Cable and DSL modems don’t travel
well. In fact they don’t travel at all, unless you got a really long LAN cable.

^
Does it require any special hardware or equipment?
No. All you need is a phone line.
